About Togolese King Ayi, the rabbinical court Har Tzion retracts.

Har Tzion rabbinical court, which had supported in the past the African King Ayi, retracts. One of the members told the website Kikar Hashabat that new evidence had prompted the judges to review their positions ...
King Ayi, remember, ran as a ruler of a province of the Republic of Togo in West Africa driven from his country. Last February, he visited the home of Rav Kanievsky with Daniel Assor rabbi who accompanied him in his travels. Since the Assor rabbi has also changed his mind.
Last month, he said he was wrong and that he had been fooled by the ’King Ayi’.
In a new statement, the rabbinical court stated that it was withdrawing the King Ayi the support he had given him and no longer occupied with the issue. He also canceled any signature that he could grant her the past. And to clarify : "All those who do act on their own responsibility."
Rabbi Dov Stein, court official, told Kikar Hashabat that this new document disavowing the King Ayi had been released after new evidence which had come to court.
’Following this, he added, we had no choice but to issue a clarification letter’.
